Knowledge vs Thinking - Neil deGrasse Tyson

This listening lesson is based on an excerpt from a speech by American astrophysicist, author and science communicator Neil deGrasse Tyson. Apart from a Cambridge exam style listening exercise, the lesson also includes a definition vocabulary match and gap fill exercise. Students are encouraged to learn new vocabulary from context and discuss the engaging topic of the presentation. As a final exercise, students are asked to use their thinking skills to come up with a solution to the trolly dilemma. By the end of the lesson, students will have learned new vocabulary. They will have also practiced language for discussion and had the opportunity to give share their opinion.
