A2. Introduction to the gerund & to infinitive

These really simple fluency exercise introduce students to the simple gerund form. The verb ‘to like’ can be followed by both gerund and to infinitive, so in this exercise, the question prompts elicit full sentence responses using both gerund and to infinitive forms. For negative answers, encourage students to use the to infinitive. Finally, encourage students to use the to infinitive a preposition phrase to follow, for example: I like to watch television in the evening. This is another great warm up exercise that you can use with any topic them you choose.
