Description

This lesson is based on a popular RSA animated presentation by author and international education advisor, Sir Ken Robinson. In his talk he examines our current models of education and explains how they came about, how they affect children’s development and why they need to change. This is a discussion based lesson that focuses on listening for detail and understanding. The aim of the lesson is help students practice note taking skills in order to take part in a discussion. As the presentation progresses, it is stopped at intervals and students are asked a range of questions about both the content of the presentation and their opinions about what the speaker says. A hugely engaging lesson for advanced learners and very popular with both young and older adults.
