This highly engaging lesson is based on a speech by the renowned American motivational speaker and “life coach” Tony Robbins. This lesson plan focuses on the use adjectives to describe character and emotion, and there is also a review of the use of ‘enough’ as an adverb, determiner and pronoun. Students will complete vocabulary exercises that relate to the presentation content. They will then discuss their motivations and feelings with regard to significant aspects of life as an introduction to the listening exercise. Further discussion follows, which allows students the opportunity to utilise the language and vocabulary from the presentation. This is a great lesson for adults from any walk of life as it deals with subjects that we all relate to.
