Simon Sinek is a marketing consultant, motivational speaker and author whose 2009 TED Talk is one of the most viewed on the platform. This English lesson is based on an animated adaptation of his interview on Inside Quest where he discusses millennials and the challenges they face when they leave university. This has proved to be a popular English lesson that is hugely engaging for students who are both millennials and older as it discusses the issue of how people adapt to an ever changing society. The language focus is the use of adjectives. Students will study the difference between predicative and attributive adjectives and vocabulary to talk about feelings, emotions and character. There are a variety of dynamic exercises using vocabulary and excerpts from the interview to generate discussion.
